Wild Harvest and Restoration Fund Egypt, 2027 What an EIR is →

Nothing here yet, on purpose

The next total eclipse is 2 August 2027. This room exists so there is somewhere to put the review when there is something checkable to put in it: a confirmed site, a footprint, a date. Until then, a page of anticipation would be the thing this whole site is arguing against.

What can be said now, and it is not comfortable

The lead time is about twelve months and it cannot be compressed. The walkover has to fall inside a breeding season in the year before the build. A survey only means something if it falls inside one.

So a full 2027 baseline is no longer achievable. Saying that now, in public, a year out, is worth more than producing something in six months and calling it a baseline.

The honest plan is a desk screen plus a rapid assessment, published as exactly that, and a full baseline committed for the edition after.

Why the room is on this site and not on the standard. Egypt is a second case, and two cases are what make EIR obviously a standard rather than a complaint. One case looks like a grievance with a framework attached.
